Technical Lead Infrastructure

100% Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Infrastructure to oversee the design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure systems. The candidate will lead a team of engineers, ensure system reliability, and drive infrastructure improvements aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage infrastructure operations including servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure solutions
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security; troubleshoot issues proactively
  • Manage incidents, problem resolution, and root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Collaborate with application, security, and DevOps teams for seamless integration
  • Drive automation, patch management, and infrastructure optimization initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members
  • Support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
  • Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of storage systems, backup solutions, and DR strategies
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.)
  • Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Exposure to security tools and compliance standards (ISO, SOC2, etc.)
  • Certifications such as AWS/Azure, VMware, ITIL

Experience:

  • 6–10 years of experience in infrastructure management with 4+ years in a leadership role

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work under pressure in critical environments
