About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform Developer to support a series of ongoing and upcoming initiatives within our organization. This role will work closely with a highly capable internal team to enhance existing applications, develop new business solutions, and play a key part in shaping our Power Platform architecture.
The immediate priority is to refine and enhance an existing application by transitioning it from a model-driven structure to a canvas app and addressing various functional updates. In parallel, you will contribute to the planning and design of a new portal-based solution currently in the whiteboarding phase. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical stakeholders.
Role Overview
The Senior Power Platform Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing applications across Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, and Dataverse. You will ensure that solutions are user-friendly, scalable, aligned with governance standards, and capable of supporting complex business processes.
Success in this role relies on the ability to translate requirements into intuitive and maintainable applications, apply modern UX design principles, manage integrations through custom connectors, and optimize performance through proper delegation and architecture. You will contribute to Dataverse schema design, support business rules and security configuration, and help define environment strategy and data-loss-prevention (DLP) compliance.
Your work will also extend to portal development, including authentication configuration, web roles, Liquid templates, and data-driven web experiences. Experience with Power BI integration is not required but is highly beneficial for delivering embedded reporting and analytics.
This position requires strong problem-solving skills, familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide guidance, and ensure successful delivery.
What You Bring
You bring at least three years of hands-on experience developing Canvas Apps, including UX design, responsive layout development, custom connector configuration, and performance optimization. You have a similar depth of experience building model-driven applications with Dataverse, including schema design, business rules, command bar customization, and security role configuration.
You have at least two years of experience developing Power Pages solutions, including authentication setup, Liquid templating, permissions, web forms, and data-driven components. Your background includes at least three years working with Power Automate cloud flows and automations that integrate with SharePoint, Outlook, and Dataverse.
A strong understanding of Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, dataflows, and security models is required. Experience with Power BI is considered highly desirable, particularly for embedding reports into applications or supporting basic data modeling and DAX.
You are comfortable working within enterprise governance structures, including environment strategy, DLP policies, and role-based access frameworks, and you understand how to design solutions that align with Power Platform licensing and cost-optimization strategies.
Strong communication skills, experience working with Agile/Scrum teams, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential for success in this role.
