Job Role and Responsibilities:
The Solutions Architect is a hands-on Compute Specialist with significant experience in the architecture, design, and deployment of cloud-capable infrastructure. In other words, this person will be skilled in all phases of developing and delivering the benefits of virtualization and higher-order abstraction (compute, storage, network, and management) in customer environments, and is fluent in disseminating that information to a given audience.

Formulates and provides overall direction for the training/development activities within a program.
Develop solution labs and toolkits, best practices & architectural references for developing and deploying Client solutions – building product integrations to aid solution demonstration and selling
Provide expert technical architectural support and mentorship for LS focus area opportunities
Expert technical assistance in managing or consulting on Client focus areas regarding initial implementations for emerging solutions offerings
Develop and maintain technical/business expertise on industry directions and trends
Work collaboratively with Product Management and Engineering during the development, launch and continuing refinement of Client products
Identify product gaps and participate in the specification, design, implementation, testing, UAT and near-production migration
Work in conjunction with Field Sales Engineering, Product Engineering, and Technical Support to resolve customer issues
Present Client''s company vision, strategy and product roadmaps to customer and partner executives and technical management

Required Skills:
Demonstrated ability to capture, develop, and share IP, knowledge with the community at large, as well as specific individuals
Minimum of 10 years in a Systems Engineer or Consulting role, with extensive experience in Client products, solutions & services.
5+ years of that experience working directly with customers to design, develop, and support OS and application software.
Domain level knowledge of application development technology and experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry
Experience in designing and deploying cloud-native enterprise applications in public or private cloud
Experience in software development including languages, systems, and frameworks such as Spring/Java, Ruby/Rails, Go, messaging (RabbitMQ/AMQP, JMS), RDBMS, NoSQL, and Hadoop OR ASP.NET Core and .NET Core
Experience with software build tools including Maven, Gradle, and Bundler
Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
Experience in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, or enterprise application architecture
Hands on experience with Public Cloud Technologies including Client Cloud on AWS, Azure and Google Compute Platform
Exposure to the Client Software Defined Datacenter. including Client Cloud Foundation

Estimated travel can burst up to 50% globally (steady state = 30-40%)
Locations Considered; Austin, TX, Atlanta GA, work from Home Office
