Job Description :
Role: Production Support Engineer

Work location: Piscataway, NJ

Project duration: 6-12 Months

Production support engineers often use the following tools in their day-to-day duties:

Strong working experience on PL SQL technology
Install, configure, tune and support PL SQL, ODI queries
Participates in upgrades and customizations of Service Transition automated systems ; Setup load balancing, clustering, and failover
Develop automation tools for Password management, Monitoring, Configuration and Deployment
Responds to questions/issues from other IT areas (e.g., Developers/Analysts, Testers, Project Managers) and other customers regarding Service Transition principles, procedures, and tools
Strong working experience in Splunk log analysis
Experience with IIS server .Net
Administer and configure the web servers
Utilize available Application Performance monitoring tools to isolate root cause issues.
Strong experience on Oracle SQL and SQL Plus.
Maintains and documents version control and code base changes
Executes requests for change and other tasks relating to software migration
Work with Vendor Support to assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues (open service requests and follow up with Vendor Support)
Develop support documentation and train team members
Designs reports and metrics to measure effectiveness of Service Transition processes and systems
Be available 24/7 to support staff in case of issues
Experience creating scripts (wsadmin, shell, perl, ant, Jython, Python, Jacl)
Experience in application development that demonstrates thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Strong monitoring skills with knowledge of APM based tools, Wireshark,logging (ELK,SPLUNK
Working knowledge in a Windows environment
AWS K8s  is a BIG Plus

Nice to have

Production support experience in payment applications
