Role: SQL DBA

Job Details:
8+ years of professional experience in the required task area required including experience with:
Responsible for database installations, configurations, upgrades and migrations.
Assist with SQL Server database version upgrades of existing databases.
Monitor and optimize database systems and queries.
Scaling and performance tuning of high-traffic, data-heavy applications.
Perform database design solutions for existing and new databases.
Develop and enforce database standards and best practices including performance, security, monitoring policies and procedures.
Help define and enforce development and design standards and best practices for the engineering team.
Review, enhance and develop backup and recovery strategies depending on SLA requirements.
Research improvements to improve overall system performance.
Provide after-hour support of Production Environment and mission-critical applications.
Communicate and coordinate with other IT teams to successfully resolve support and maintenance issues.
Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product requirements, features, and functionality.
Lead, train, guide, and mentor less experienced engineers.
Keep abreast of industry trends and technologies and be prepared to apply them quickly.
Can quickly and accurately assess problems and provide solutions based on experience and insight into situation base on self-initiation.
Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse products.
ETL development experience with complicated DTS/SSIS Package coding and maintenance a plus.
SQL Server: complicated joins, stored procedures, triggers, functions and sophisticated programming techniques.
Strong customer service skills and passion to work through obstacles to produce results.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Understanding of contractual agreements.
Ability to work independently and drive assigned tasks through to completion.
Understands the discipline of business process management.
Capacity to take initiative, and ability to accept change and adapt to shifting priorities.
Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed and assigned.
Minimum work experience: 8+ Years
