We are seeking a self-motivated Platform Engineer, who is obsessed with delivering value, is forward-thinking, and excited to see the successful implementation and operations of the products they deliver.

As a Platform Engineer, you will:
Collaborate with software engineers, operations engineers, and engineering leadership to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new business value through software
Lead the continuous development of our technical roadmap and architecture to deliver on key platform objectives
Deliver an exceptional user experience to our engineers, through the delivery of services enabling self-service environment provisioning and continuous delivery pipelines
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Engineering and Enablement Services team, while pushing the evolution, robustness, security and reliability of the platform and services to new heights
Partner with our Reliability Engineers to address incidents and problems within the platform
Prototype and build new capabilities to increase the leverage of platform operations and security

You will bring and continuously build upon the following skills:
An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within a rapidly changing startup environment; you love the challenge of working on a small team and being part of a larger movement to change the engineering culture of an enterprise
Strong experience building and running Cloud platforms at scale (1000s of users/requests)
Experience with configuration management (Chef or Ansible)
Experience with coding / scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby)
Familiarity with agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features
Experimenting with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next
A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes across all levels in the organization
