A ServiceNow Engineer designs, develops, and maintains ServiceNow workflows, modules, and integrations to support ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or other enterprise processes. They customize ServiceNow to meet business process requirements.
Develop and configure ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HRSD)
Build workflows, catalog items, UI policies, business rules
Perform upgrades, patches, and system maintenance
Integrate ServiceNow with external systems via APIs
Troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis
Support ServiceNow governance and best practices
Document system configurations and changes
Strong proficiency in ServiceNow platform
Experience with JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer
Knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, ITIL processes
REST/SOAP API integration experience
Understanding of workflows, ACLs, and data structures
ServiceNow certifications (Admin, Developer, ITSM Specialist) preferred
Problem-solving and system-design skills
