A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Oversee multiple projects to ensure proper management towards successful conclusion.
- Manage large enterprise-type projects that involve multiple internal stakeholders or contracted resources.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project plans.
- Define users and project team member's roles and responsibilities on the project.
- Define user requirements, deliverables, and approvals.
- Coordinate and monitor activities of all stakeholders to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Communicate project status to management and project stakeholders.
- Mentor and provide guidance to lower-level Project Managers including recommending training and experience.
Skill Matrix:
- Experience in IT Project Management Required 5 Years
- Prior experience working on State of Indiana large software projects as a Senior IT PM Highly desired
- Strong knowledge of information systems development life cycle, information technology, project tools and approaches to development and implemention Required 5 Years
- Experience with multiple methodologies including agile and waterfall Required 5 Years
- Ability to translate technology terms and explain concepts of SDLC to program/business folks who have little to no exposure to large software projects Required 5 Years
- Ability to work with technical team members, and other IT professionals to flesh out project plans and risk registers and overcome obstacles Required 5 Years
- Strong communication and presentation skills Required 5 Years
- PMP Certified, upload cert on Reference tab at time of submission Highly desired
