Role: Devops Engineer Location: Jersey City, NJ or Dallas, TX Duration: Full Time Job Description: AWS / GCP / Azure Git, Github, SVN, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Travis, Bamboo, CodeFresh Unit test frameworks Shell script Ansible, Terraform Artifactory, Nexus, VM and Container Image Creation Linux Sysadmin Python Kubernetes, AKS/EKS/GKE Software Development Experience Azure DevOps Six or more years of total experience as a system administrator on Linux platform 4 or more years of experience with leading dev and ops teams in the implementation of Agile and DevSecOps practices Expert level system administration skills in the areas of, but not limited to, networking, storage management, software installation, OS tuning (Linux & Windows) Expert hands-on knowledge of at least one Public Cloud Hands on experience with OS hardening, container security, firewall configuration will be a big plus Experience on one of more version control software such as Git, VSTS and good understanding on branching strategies Good understanding of static code analysis, dependency scanning, container security and dynamic security test automation using any leading tools CI experience in one or more CI tools such as Jenkins, Travis, VSTS etc. Expert level skills in installing and automating CI/CD tools such as Maven/Gradle, Git/Gitlab, Jenkins, Puppet/Chef, Docker and Kubernetes Experience with Infrastructure as code scripting Terraform, Ansible or equivalent Experience with managing releases Scripting experience in multiple languages - (Powershell, Python, etc Basic understanding of modern architectures and software development practices, including microservices, API Gateways, Event streaming, No-SQL Databases, Distributed Applications What You'll Achieve As a Platform Engineer you will be responsible for creating and maintaining various platforms as service. You will create and maintain various development, IaaC and Data CI/CD pipelines. You possess a 'can do' attitude and are able to quickly learn/evaluate any new technology. You will champion secure development and testing best practices in a streamlined software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production.
