Senior AWS Devops Engineer

100% Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role focuses on automating deployments, improving system reliability, and enabling continuous integration and delivery across development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using best practices
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
  • Automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline release processes
  • Manage and optimize containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
  • Ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization in AWS environments
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE
  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certifications such as:
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of security best practices (IAM, VPC, encryption)
  • Experience in high-scale production environments
  • Familiarity with cost optimization strategies in AWS
