Title: Scrum Master
Location: Detroit, MI - Remote now
Length of assignment: 18+ months ….. long term
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functions as a Scrum Master leader on Agile project team, providing support to the Product Owner and Delivery Team(s), in their effort to drive maximum value and customer satisfaction through the project’s objectives.
Facilitates scheduling and execution of Scrum Ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Scrum of Scrums (as needed), Sprint Review, Retrospectives, Grooming and Sizing.
Facilitates creation and maintenance of key Agile artifacts including the Product Backlog, Release Plans, Sprint Backlogs and burndown charts.
Able to Collect, analyze, develop, document, and communicate business requirements if needed
Demonstrated knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for executing Agile and Scrum practices (e.g., burndown techniques, retrospective formats, processing new features and bugs as they emerge, etc.)
Advanced story card writing skills, including the user story model and various techniques for defining acceptance criteria. Ability to break story cards down into smaller manageable units.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years
Previous experience in a Scrum Master
Expertise in facilitating standard Agile functions and ceremonies required including but not limited to: Scrum Planning, Story Mapping, Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Backlog Grooming, Sizing/Agile Estimating, Review/Demo, Retrospective
Expertise in standard Agile techniques for identifying project deliverables and measuring team performance required including but not limited to: Product Roadmap, Release Plan, Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Sprint Goal, Kanban/Task Board, Burndowns, Burnups, Requirements Traceability, Velocity, team norms, impediments, team calendar
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, Pairing, Agile Games, etc.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or equivalent preferred
