Role: PL/SQL Developer

Location: Houston, TX Day 1 Onsite

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer with strong database development skills to support enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in writing complex SQL and PL/SQL code and working with DB2 databases. This role requires close collaboration with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL programs, including procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability
Work extensively with DB2 database for data analysis, development, and maintenance
Perform database performance tuning and troubleshooting
Support application development by providing efficient database solutions
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical database designs
Assist with data migration, data validation, and production support
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices
Create and maintain technical and functional documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience as a PL/SQL Developer
Hands-on experience with DB2 Database
Strong knowledge of SQL, joins, subqueries, indexes, constraints, and cursors
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
Ability to debug and resolve complex database issues
Experience working in enterprise-level environments
Good communication and collaboration skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Unix/Linux environments
Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodology
Experience in regulated or large-scale enterprise domains
