We are seeking a Master Data Analyst to be the core member of the Master Data Management team.
· Lead and participate in cross-functional process improvements for Master Data across all data domains.
· Assist in identifying and resolving gaps in data quality and governance with emphasis on root-cause analysis, people, and process.
· Support improvements by performing detailed data analyses and summary statistics of master data.
· Work with the data owners and stakeholders to evaluate the opportunities, potential solutions, and business value.
· Ensure all aspects of data governance are considered when addressing data quality and process improvements, including data definitions, source, and use.
· Assist data owners to identify and coordinate data cleansing opportunities.
· Develop data validation rules and appropriate metrics to ensure and sustain data quality.
· Support the global data owners to continually improve performance.
· Audit for effectiveness.
· Liaison as needed with other functional areas including Information Technology to ensure successful implementation of process changes.
· Coach data owners on data literacy skills, and train users on all new tools and resources.
· Assist with the creation and maintenance of global data dictionaries and glossaries.
· Assist in the configuration, deployment, and administration of the MDM platform.
· Support the Data Governance Council by evaluating options and defining the impact of new data requirements, attributes, or applications on Master Data Management and consumption.
· Help define process or integration changes, and their impact on data processes or downstream consumption for consistency across the organization.
· Research, help develop, and implement new techniques of Master Data Management & Governance.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Science, Engineering, or related field is required.
· 3 years’ experience in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence preferred.
· Knowledgeable in Data Governance and MDM concepts.
· Excellent working and practical knowledge of Excel and ERP systems required.
· Must be responsible, reliable, and self-motivated. Drive to improve processes and performance is essential.
· Demonstrated ability in cross-functional teams, process improvement, metric development, and problem-solving is required.
· Good oral and written communication skills required with attention to details critical.
· Comfortable liaising at all levels globally – from senior leadership presentation to front line employee interaction.
· Evening and weekend communication with overseas team members occasionally required.
· Travel occasionally required.
