Location::::; Madison, WI (100% Telecommute Contract during Covid)
The position is responsible for creating a data infrastructure with complete documentation of metadata, business rules and technical details. There is a project underway to improve history data and this position will play a critical role to capture data documentation through reverse engineering, interviews and detailed documentation of all data elements related to the criminal history data repository.
In this position you will work closely with the Chief Data Officer, data owners, technical staff and project manager to develop project proposals, scope documents, process flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, user stories, coding specifications, test plans and occasionally assist with training documentation.

SKILLS - REQUIRED:
Data Warehouse BA Roles 8+ years. Preference given to candidates with State Government experience and/or Criminal Justice experience.
Experience in business analysis to gather technical and functional requirements relating to Reporting
Strong understanding of Information Technology, Enterprise Software Implementation, and related infrastructure components
This position is telecommute due to Covid-19. Candidate is willing and able to work onsite in Madison, WI once circumstances allow.

Database design
Experience developing efficient workflows that incorporate existing data from relational databases, Excel, and other sources
Experience with data warehousing / Business Intelligence
Extensive detailed documentation skills.
Domain State Government
Associate degree in Computer Science, Programming or related field with 1-3 years computer programming experience or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Database Tuning and Maintenance to assure highest level of system availability and performance
Data Management Professional Certification
Domain Criminal Justice
