Job Description :


  • Leverages user experience research insights and recommendations to accelerate discussions and decisions early in the product development process.
  • Applies internal/external standards and best practices to create tangible visualizations that serve as the blueprint for front-end developers to turn a concept into a solution, while ensuring digital solutions are consistent with brand standards.
  • Work at this level is of moderate complexity covering either a single user class with several personas or multiple user classes with a limited set of personas per user class.
  • Designs result in moderately complex solutions and/or component (s) of larger, more complex solutions. Solutions enable moderately complex processes involving a limited set of moderately complex back-end systems.



  • Creates and designs elements or components resulting in high quality user experience designs. 
  • Incorporates branding and common design guidelines into products. 
  •  Creates wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes and specifications.
  • Maintains style guides for varying methods of delivery. 
  •  Follows appropriate design methodology, tools, and protocols to conduct user-centered design.
  • Translates analytics data into visual designs to support interpretation and generation of insights or vice versa.


Skills Required:

  • As a User Experience Designer for John Deere Financial located in Johnston, IA, you will be responsible for creating user interaction task flows, as well as developing mock-ups, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively communicate designs to product owners and development teams.
  • Apply knowledge of usability, human factors, and UI processes to create intuitive user experiences.
  •  Work with development teams to ensure that new features are implemented according to specifications.
  • Assist team members in pre and post-development usability testing.
  • Create and maintain project and overall system design artifacts.
  • Provide design reviews and provide suggestions to developers related to UX best processes, John Deere standards and overall usability.
  • Conduct design workshops with a wide range of stakeholders to creatively address complex applications and experiences.
  •  Conduct quality assurance on implemented designs with strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate mockups and design language to various groups and levels of management.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners on UX needs.


What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Experience working in a UX role or on a UX team.
  • Experience with Figma, Sketch, or InVision.
  • Experience with agriculture, construction vehicles or similar industry.
  • Working knowledge of software development and testing practices.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with responsive design and/or phone and tablet interface design
  • Experience with data driven analytics tools such as ContentSquare, A e Analytics, or Google Analytics


Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in a Design or User Experience related field (Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, etc.).
  • Years of Experience Required: 3-5 years of UI/UX/Interaction Design. Please provide me with the top three must haves for your role in order to assist the agencies with their recruitment.
  •  Experienced in the use of at least two of the following design and prototyping tools: Figma, Sketch, InVision, A e XD, A e Illustrator, or Axure.
  • A portfolio highlighting experience in creating modern and intuitive digital interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver clean and usable interfaces while applying visual brand guidelines.
  • Experience creating wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
