Job Description :

Overview:

Primary function as a strong Release Manager, data driven and from a technical background.

Experience from telco and/or the OEM space is more desirable than not.

Candidates must have very strong communication skills, demonstrated background and articulation of their impact.

 

  1. Sync meetings 
    • Scrum ceremonies (daily standup, grooming, retro, dev/qa sync etc.) 
    • Team alignments on solutions, pending actions, team progress tracking etc. 
  2. Scrum documentation & data driven insights
    • Document steps team will be taking to improve team velocity and dynamics
    • Provide data driven insight reports for each sprint and each quarter
  3. Team
    • Update, track and keep QA/Dev Dashboards
    • Pull data (advanced queries) from Jira to support business questions
    • Drive team blocking issues to resolution
    • Capacity planning
    • Reduce team disruptions from PM/PO/Stakeholders
    • Call out team risks and unforeseen chain of events
    • Callout any sort of follow up needed from leadership team
    • Provide inputs to address resource issues or bottlenecks
  4. Release content, process & timeline management:
    • Sync meeting with internal and external teams to understand impacts and release schedules for different products
    • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
    • Regular release/ rollback and hotfix process update and maintenance
    • Ensure QA teams know the guidelines of the project and will check that these standards are met
    • Internal/OEM/other External release notes 
    • Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
  5. Customer first & leadership communication 
    • Feature release communication 
    • Feature enablement/configuration communication 
    • Weekly update on app release schedule, timeline, effort, risks, and migration plan
