The Enterprise Data Integration Architect will be responsible for the development of architectural strategies and implementation of platform integration with internal and third part data within Grant Thornton’s Business Technology team. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with IT application leads and business stakeholders to help determine technical solutions based on business requirements and consult on their implementation. Responsibilities also include producing technical strategy to align solutions and leading the implementation of data integration architecture to the company’s business strategy and goals. This position is a member of Enterprise Architecture team within the Enterprise Technology organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluate/analyze business needs and current technical assets/data to develop and implement solutions and strategy for firm data and application integration architecture.
Lead Technical implementation for integration and interact with cross-functional team and vendors/suppliers over multiple projects to architect, design, test and release features.
Liaise with vendor’s offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
Define integration patterns for the purpose of creating reusable service assets within the firm technology architecture.
Drive the definition and implementation of best practices, policy and application integration standards for hybrid/cloud solution environment.
Provide technical consultation for technology and data solutions based on business needs; oversee architectural aspects of business solution development/deployment.
Responsible for overall definition and management of the enterprise data schema, metadata models, and the logical and physical data models employed in the firm.
Assist in completing enterprise architectural documentation and SDLC process and standards.
Documents and drives the best practices of enterprise data architecture and data governance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BS) in computer science or information systems (or equivalent work experience
10+ years of overall experience in business IT technology – primarily within application development and data integration including significant experience with ETL, SOA, Microservices, REST/SOAP web services and API technology; iPaaS is a strong plus.
7+ years of overall experience in business IT technology – primarily within data base/management functions including experience with data modelling, architecture, governance.
Experience and hands on capabilities with Informatica platform technologies is required: IICS Cloud Data Integration, Cloud Application Integration (API) , Cloud Integration Hub, Informatica Data Quality, Master Data Management etc.
Experience and hands-on capabilities with Microsoft platform/development technologies: .NET, SQL Server, Azure and related tools.
Experience with ERP tools such as Deltek Costpoint/T&E would be plus
Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive a project from an architectural standpoint.
Significant experience working with application teams, vendors or service providers; significant experience with SDLC methodologies and design/architecture aspects of project delivery.
Ability to maintain strategic perspective, understanding the big picture and maintaining patience and persistence to achieve long-term goals and objectives.
Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills; must show experience with documenting and presenting technology strategy and experience in a strategic and consultative technical role.
Experience with professional services firms.
Experience working within an IT organization supported by a managed IT services provider
