Title: Accessibility Tester
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: Long Term Contract
Experience:
  • 4+ years of quality assurance and test engineering experience
  • Should have minimum 2 year of accessibility testing experience
 
Responsibilities:
  • Document internal processes for testing to ensure compliance with Section 508 requirements and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • Conduct in-depth Section 508/WCAG compliance assessments via manual reviews
  • Compile reports concerning failures in Section 508/WCAG compliance and ways to remediate
  • Review Section 508/WCAG compliance defects with developers and discuss possible resolutions
  • Monitor resolution of Section 508/WCAG compliance violations
  • Provide expert advice to other teams testing web pages and applications for Section 508/WCAG compliance
  • Assist project teams with understanding how Section 508 and accessibility activities fit within the project life cycle
  • Partner with project leads and requirements analysts to help them appropriately document and deliver against requirements for Section 508/WCAG compliance
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Section 508/WCAG testing and automated tool information
  • Provide consultative support across the company for Section 508/WCAG compliance information
 
Skills:
  • Web and device accessibility experience, Experience working with mobile apps, Experience working with the Agile delivery process, Business/User acceptance testing experience.
  • Graduate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Should have experience in testing of Mobile applications and Android devices
  • Should able to define accessibility test scenarios and test conditions
  • Should develop detailed accessibility test plans
  • Should have knowledge of accessibility related standards and guidelines
  • Should have knowledge of ADA/508/WCAG2.0 compliance
  • Should have experience in working with Accessibility tools for major browsers - Firefox, IE, Chrome and Safari & touch devices
  • Should be familiar with accessibility implementation techniques like right use of ARIA attributes, logical order & correct semantics
  • Experience with any accessibility testing tool would be considered a plus
  • Should have experience in using shortcuts and keystrokes for assistive technologies
