Title : : R&D Engineer Location : Ann Arbor MI Duration : Fulltime (Only) Role & responsibilities: 1. Investigate into the integration of Vehicle Product Development simulator for existing and future Proof of concepts like a. HIL testing for cockpit development. b. Prepare proposal with costing for Simulator improvement options like update existing 2. Develop overall road map that demonstrate technical and user experience direction for cockpit electronics related components like HVAC, Body ECUs, Meter and Head Up Display, Cabin Switches, Rear Seat Entertainment this includes activities like . . . a. Steady industry trends, supplier road maps b. Research into trending technology and how it may overlap with components mentioned above c. Develop roadmap for OEM/Client d. Work/coordinate on Advanced Drive simulator evaluation in conjunction with Denso North America(Client supplier This includes activities like creating a report on findings commissioned from Denso North America and Project Manage operations like ( Create Scope of Works, Run meetings to fix evaluation method ensuring client requirements are met ;Support integration of software with test environment; Observe testing Prepare final Technical Report and share findings 3. Cockpit Activity Support for future cockpit architecture and user needs that are being developed with a series of milestones. This would ask for work on RFI process needs & RFI documentation preparation; Support preparation of presentation materials; Benchmark cockpit, peripheral and consumer electronic devices that influence cockpit design; Map out cockpit architecture especially meter/HUD and HVAC systems. 4. Support testing new system. Experiment with system and prepare notes/user training/instructions material for sharing with internal members 5. Technical Report Preparation. Support preparation of technical reports throughout the year. Education, Skills & Experience : Education: Bachelor of Engineering [Electrical] or Bachelor of Computer Science Experience (must) : Min 5 years industry /work experience required Software development experience System integration experience Experience working at a Japanese supplier or OEM [Creating reports for Japan is a large part of the job] GUI development [wire frame and programming or Photoshop] Systems experience QT, C++, Python, Matlab, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Java, Automotive experience is preferred, but not essential
