Performance Test Lead

Collaborate with developers, tech leads, BA''s and Business team for any requirement and test case clarifications, as types/levels of testing needed.
Work with development team to derive the best possible testing approach
Work with the capacity planning and release management team
Involved in estimation and work with SQA Delivery managers and PM''s to ensure proper resource allocation
Facilitates discussion with Business and BA''s to ensure proper partnership and sharing of results
Process
Responsible for reviewing all the requirements and deriving the testable requirements
Responsible for creating or contributing to test plan & strategy, get it reviewed, and approved/sign-off by the relevant stakeholders
Responsible for reviewing test cases with all stakeholders
Perform script reviews with peers
Ensure standard SQA test process are followed
Responsible for delivering both standard and customized project specific reports
Review and deliver all test reports to stakeholders
Responsible for communicating any deviations from the standard practice to the test leads / program lead or delivery managers
Lead or assist in resolving performance issues
Define and continuously improve test framework based on lessons learned and best practices
Technology
Ability to work with multiple performance test and analysis software’s, possible examples include Dynatrace, DevTest, LoadRunner, SoapUI, Karate API, TSCO, SQL, Visualizer, BEST1, BMC Investigate, etc
Ability to work with multiple project planning and document sharing platforms
Identify and coordinate scripting activities throughout the project
Accountable to deliver automation scripts and maintenance of the scripts for the current code base
Responsible for coordinating the performance environment needs
Work with the project team to determine all the resources required for testing
Analyze change in system and determine the impacts on the existing test cases and test scripts.
Identify test data needs and create or work with the data team to secure test data
Report issues and risks to the project team and escalate as needed
Application Performance Assessment
This service involves working with development and test teams to design, execute, and analyze application performance. There should be a minimum of 2 test executions for each different load level for best results. Complete a performance test assessment based on execution.
Meet with test and development teams to discuss the application and change, reviewing the Application Profile Template for DevOps APM.
Verify Performance data collection for all touch points (including CA-APM being enabled)
Work with Capacity team to pull production volume metrics if they exist and provide those metrics to the Test Team Lead (Page Hits, CA-APM responses, and/or ESB requests)
Upon successful completion of each performance test verify success rate in DevTest Reports, OS metrics, ESB Hits / Apache web hits, Apache memory requestors, and review CA-APM metrics and GC activity.
Upon validation of a successful test, process performance data and analyze resource consumption, response times, page hits, and service calls for all touch points. This includes comparisons to previous test results as well as production metrics
Write Application Performance assessment and send for team review
Meet with development and or business teams to discuss findings.
