Role: Operational Technical Architect Location: Toronto, ON Contract Highly motivated Technical Architect individual who has broad industry exposure to Operational Technology (OT) systems and experience developing architectures for these systems. Client defines Operational Technology as systems used for the monitoring and control of field facilities such as oil and gas pipeline/storage facilities, renewable electrical generation facilities and gas distribution systems. Operational Technologies include field systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), IoT gateways/devices as well as central systems such as SCADA, Leak Detection and Historian systems. Candidate must be highly skilled in gathering and documenting the technical requirements of solutions and performing the analysis and research to define practical deployment-ready architectures in alignment with technology roadmaps and reference architectures. In order to do this the candidate must have a deep understanding of OT technologies and architectures including but not limited to areas such as security, network, infrastructure, OT applications and devices, and the systems used to deploy, manage and monitor OT solutions. Specific knowledge and experience in the design of Industrial "Internet of Things" (IIoT) and integration of field data into Cloud based solutions is preferred. Candidate must have experience working with multiple teams and projects across a large-scale enterprise. Effective communication with multiple teams and managing Related post-secondary degree or technical diploma in Engineering or Computer Sciences with 10 years of relative experience Experience in developing and communicating OT architecture designs Experience in implementation and operation of OT systems Collaborate with multiple teams in reference architectures Knowledge of a broad set of operational technologies from conceptual to practical level Experience in architecting IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) solutions and implementing OT solutions in Cloud environments (e.g. Azure, AWS) preferred
