Requirements:
Position Description
A Security Engineer serves as the security engineer of complex technology
implementations in a product-centric environment; is comfortable with bridging the
gap between legacy development or operations teams and working toward a
shared culture and vision; works to ensure developers create the most secure
systems while enhancing the privacy of all system users; and has experience with
white-hat hacking and fundamental computer science concepts. The Security
Engineer will perform security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability
testing, and security code reviews; develop and implement technical solutions to
help mitigate security vulnerabilities; and conduct research to identify new attack
vectors.
Skills Required
Security Engineers will possess knowledge and experience in safeguarding
sensitive data from cyber-attacks. This position focuses on: Managing Application
Centric Infrastructure (ACI) infrastructure hands on experience. Edge routing
including BGP, GRE, etc. experience. Support connectivity to various ISPs and
look at redundancy, correct routing to accomplish various tasks, etc. experience.
Setting up and managing cloud to data center connectivity including cloud routing
(Azure, AWS, Google, Oracle, etc.) experience. Cisco hardware (primarily 7k and
9k series, but other similar devices are acceptable) experience. Manage upgrades
for various Cisco appliances experience. Connecting various infrastructure
(hardware to hardware, virtual to virtual, cloud to virtual, etc.) experience.
Skills Preferred
Experience Required
This classification must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with
developing and implementing technical solutions to help mitigate security
vulnerabilities. Cisco ACI Edge routing protocols (BGP, GRE, etc.) ISP
configuration, monitoring and management. Cloud routing, management and
troubleshooting with AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, etc. Cisco hardware experience
with systems such as 7k and 9k series appliances including configuration,
management, monitoring and troubleshooting. Support various infrastructure
connectivity (hardware to hardware, virtual to virtual, cloud to virtual, etc.).
Experience Preferred
Education Required
This classification requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related
or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the
required education on a year-for-year basis
