Title: Network Engineer
Location: Englewood, CO
Duration: 12+ Months
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology / Computer Science Engineering or a related field
8+ years’ experience as a Network engineer and strong understanding of a cloud platform like AWS
In-depth knowledge of network protocols: BGP, MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, Static Routing, VRF, IPSec,GRE and NAT
Solid hands-on experience with Cisco Router, Switches, ASA and Security
Network certifications: Cisco CCNP (Routing/Switching)
Key platform experience: ASA, Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto, AWS
In-depth knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches and data center standards
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Windows (AD, DNS, DFS) deployments a plus
Experience with Unix/Linux a plus
Experience with AWS Direct Connect, AWS Transit Gateway, AWS Site-to-site VPN and AWS
Cloud Watch
Certifications: AWS SysOps, AWS Advanced Networking, CCIE
Knowledge of Acme SBC and SIP
Responsibilities:
Responsible for extensive Cisco WAN and LAN routing, switching and firewall, development,
implementation, troubleshooting and documentation
Implement enterprise wide voice and data network projects. Prepare and maintain project implementations schedules
Participate in architecture, design and deployment of redundant, fault tolerant voice and data networks
Maintain network management architecture for specific network and telecom components including event monitoring and alerting
Configure and deploy network and telecom equipment in accordance with project implementation plan
Utilize Cisco CLI extensively for implementing router, switch and ASA solutions
Create and appropriately apply ACLs
Work with telecom service providers for installing and troubleshooting circuits
Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
Monitor network performance and integrity Develop and document plans to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve voice and data issues
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
Interact with other teams throughout the company to determine feasibility, business and
functional requirements as well as technical designs on assigned projects
Provide ongoing support, maintenance and enhancement of network infrastructure
Ability to work well independently
