MS Exchange/MS 365 Administrator

100% Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Exchange / Microsoft 365 Administrator to manage, support, and optimize enterprise messaging and collaboration environments. The role involves administering Exchange Online, ensuring system availability, managing users, and maintaining security and compliance across the Microsoft 365 platform.


Key Responsibilities:

Exchange & M365 Administration:

  • Administer and manage Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 environment
  • Manage mailboxes, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, and mail flow
  • Configure and troubleshoot Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and spam filtering
  • Perform mailbox migrations (on-premises to cloud and hybrid environments)

User & Access Management:

  • Create and manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions
  • Configure role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Support identity integration with Active Directory / Azure AD

Security & Compliance:

  • Implement security policies including MFA, conditional access, and data loss prevention (DLP)
  • Monitor threats, alerts, and compliance policies within Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center
  • Ensure email security, archiving, and retention policies

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor system health, mail flow, and service performance
  • Troubleshoot issues related to email delivery, connectivity, and client access (Outlook, mobile devices)
  • Handle incident management and service requests

Backup, Migration & Maintenance:

  • Support backup and disaster recovery strategies
  • Plan and execute migrations, upgrades, and patching
  • Maintain documentation of configurations and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange (Online or On-Prem)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and identity management
  • Basic understanding of networking (DNS, SMTP, routing)
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hybrid Exchange environments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint administration
  • Familiarity with migration tools (Cutover, Hybrid, IMAP migrations)
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, or equivalent)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication and user support skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Experience Level:

4–8 years
