Mechanical Engineer

The purpose of the open role is to obtain a mechanical engineering resource for factory support, product,
development, and product testing. In this position the individual will be working and taking direction from design engineers on the Electrical Packaging, Ventilation, and Compressed Air teams. The individual will be in a dynamic role, communicating to a number of levels within the organization. Responsibilities include (1) factory support - ensuring that changes and all questions associated with initial drawings are adequately executed and resolved in a timely manner, (2) product development - generation and evaluation of concepts, basic engineering analysis, and (3) supporting product testing activities in the lab.
Providing Erie plant shop support, capturing and communicating to engineering, manufacturing and drafting teams related drawing change instructions, reviewing product assembly efforts and instituting necessary improvements, executing necessary administrative change processes through Teamcenter, Reliance, and relevant tools.
Developing engineering prototype concepts, working with vendors and shops to procure prototypes, if needed
