Role Overview
A Mainframe Developer designs, develops, tests, and maintains applications running on mainframe systems. They primarily work with technologies like IBM z/OS, COBOL, JCL, PL/I, and databases such as IBM Db2.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe technologies.

Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.

Write, test, and debug batch and online programs.

Work with databases like IBM Db2 and IMS (Information Management System).

Perform code reviews, system testing, and performance tuning.

Support production systems and resolve application issues.

Collaborate with system analysts, testers, and business teams.

Maintain documentation of applications and processes.
