Job Description :

Linux Systems Administrator

100% Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Linux Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems and infrastructure. The role involves ensuring system reliability, performance, security, and availability while supporting day-to-day operations and troubleshooting issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
Monitor system performance, availability, and security
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance
Troubleshoot system, hardware, and network-related issues
Manage storage, file systems, and backups
Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
Support virtualization and container platforms (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
Ensure system security, compliance, and hardening standards
Collaborate with DevOps, network, and application teams

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
3–7+ years of experience in Linux system administration
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools
Experience with system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Experience with virtualization and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of security best practices and system hardening
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, etc.)
Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
