Position: Licensing Specialist Location: Tampa, FL Duration: Full Time Core Responsibilities: Timely and accurately order, renew and terminate insurance agent licenses in system or on State DOI website when necessary. Submit agent background information to National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) and E-file National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) paperwork. Request carrier appointments as needed. Ensure Salesforce and Smartsheets are updated with active and cancelled licenses and proof of appointments. Review pending licenses and make updates as needed. Update address changes within NIPR as necessary. Manage agent licensing requests and inquiries. Run and process monthly license renewal reports, and create License approval list. Communicate with other departments regarding insurance agent licensing processes, policies, and status. Conduct research (online and telephonic) to ensure compliance with licensure requirements. Maintain and promotes agent confidentiality. Legal invoicing processing (coding, getting approvals, documenting) Logs, processes, tracks, and follows up on all Licensing Department requests (including but not limited to projects, contracts, and research) that are submitted by other departments for legal review, research, and / or approval. Responsible for contract and supporting documentation filing and retention. Maintain the storage and filing system for all physical and electronic legal files. Communicate with other departments to assist Legal Department in prioritization of projects, contracts, research, etc. Responsible for legal expense reporting, supply management, mail handling, processing of letters / correspondence, events / meeting planning, report generation, and assistance with completion of urgent projects. Handle all items and one-off tasks as requested by Corporate Counsel. Manage special projects as assigned. Review and summarizes miscellaneous reports and documents as requested Work with other administrative personnel to accomplish company goals. Follow all Insurance regulations and requirements.
