Lead Mulesoft Developer (4 days/week onsite)

Duration : 6 + Months

Location : Coppell, TX

Need local to Dallas.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze and develop interfaces and integration flows using Mule Anypoint platform including Mule Runtime, Connectors, Design Center and API management
  • Responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks, reviewing code written by other programmers, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting and implementation.
  • Explain complex technical issues to project managers, developers, team leads and architects in an easy to understand manner and recommend clearly thought out solutions
  • Develop solutions by designing system specifications, standards and programming
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide bug fixes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with the Mule soft Any point platform as a Developer
  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience. Experience with software integration or similar solution and API management system experience is a must
  • Advanced level development and knowledge with Mulesoft 4, API-Led connectivity and event driven architecture.
  • Intermediate to Advanced level Java development experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of EAI, SOA and Security best practices, development methodologies and standards.
  • Solid Programming skills using J2EE, Design Patterns, JMS, SOAP and REST Web Services, XSLT, CXF, Spring Framework, etc.
  • Knowledge of Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring and KPI for end to end process execution
  • Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • must take the Main Event Mulesoft glider assessment prior to submittal
  • For security experience, they would need to know basic authentication, 0augth, cert exchange, etc. Monitoring, alerting, and performance experience depends on what they've been exposed too, but should mention things like looking at different metrics and depending on those metrics be taking some type of steps to resolve"
  • he was able to handle the technical lead questions which are real life technical scenarios they've faced and fixed.
  • The goal is to see how they approach the issues, can they provide a good fix in real-time and what changes they'd make
  • when she interviews candidates she wants to understand from a leadership perspective how they step up as a lead.

  • how do you handle performance reviews?
  • how do you handle code reviews? give examples of some of these
  • where do you focus on in the design space? she's wanting someone who has API design focus as they have people who handle the solution designs
  • must be able to explain specifically what THEY did with both and how they set it up additional questions to ask:
  • what are you specifically handling for cloudhub and runtime fabric?
  • walk me through how you would set up a cloudhub instance from scratch.
  • This person will handle code reviews, pull requests, build errors, collaborate and mentor other engineers, helping other engineers solution stories and problems, and help DevOps Engineer with build part of CI/CD pipeline.
  • API management need to know what policy does what in general.
  • API spec design RAML and/or OAS3+.
  • Mulesoft API and batch process need to have experience with different process strategies also know how and why (a developer, not an implementer.)
  • Know and have experience with at least two Mule deployment models. Cloudhub deployment knowledge is required.
  • Security Need to know general overall internet security and need to have strong knowledge and experience with API security.
  • The candidate should have CAN DO attitude and needs to be a problem resolver.
  • The candidate should be able to individually resolve most working issues without constant need of assistance or guidance."
  • looking for someone with 5+ years of API development, and does not care what OOP language (prefer java dev experience) or what API tool.
  • MuleSoft V4, cloudhub, and anypoint studio is required could be a 1 round interview with Fedil, but likely will have a 2nd round technical interview with 2 members of the team he is going to be bringing this person on very quickly
  • would like someone to be a heads down coding and not a social butterfly as he needs someone to hit the ground running

the big things he wants us to focus on are:

  • 1. source control/git branching strategies
  • 2. API management (also known as gateway for security)
  • 3. having experience with version 4 of mulesoft
  • 4. being proactive and being able to critically think If they know any server side languages to create APIs (can be any language, but prefer GoLang, SpringBoot, NodeJS, Java).
  • They're using MuleSoft right now but it's expensive and they'll be migrating to another API format down the road and they'll need to know other API architecture.
  • They will need to know the infrastructure and deployment of the structure. Gathering requirements from the business side.
  • Anything that happens with the API platform, they will need to triage and provide support - hospitality industry experience would be nice to have
