Job Role: Principal Solution Architect
Job Location: Portland, OR
Job type: C2C
Contract Length: 6 months + EXT
We are seeking an experienced Principal Solution Architect for a long-term contract opportunity in Portland, OR.
Responsibilities:
Works closely with Supply Chain Domain experts (business & technology) and business architects to develop architecture roadmaps
Cross functional collaboration with various functional leaders, technical leaders, and executive stakeholders globally
Alignment across domains and enabling functions (verticals and horizontals)
Experience developing Enterprise Solution Architecture patterns
Capture and share best-practice to ensure standardization of solution designs across the enterprise
Ability to provide technical advice to domain delivery team
Extensive experience working closely with customers to identify solutions
Excellent verbal and written communications skills; works with others to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues, and effectively communicate changes
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or equivalent
7+ years of experience in architecture with least 3 years as lead architect
5+ years hands-on engineering experience with public cloud, distributed computing, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom developed solutions
10+ years in software engineering
2+ years of experience working in AWS or Azure cloud platforms
Experience working in Global Logistics/Distribution is mandatory
Strong experience with Cloud Computing, DevOps, Java, Javascript, Angular, REST API, noSQL DB is preferred
Must have full life cycle implementation experience with WMS, TMS and fulfilment solutions • Successful hands-on skills in Domain Driven Design (DDD) and agile development experience is highly desirable
Distributed, and Microservice Architecture is desirable • Understanding of Retail/Wholesale business model highly desirable
