Javascript Web UI AEM Developer – Remote Job – Work From home.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. Location: Work from home - Remote Job from day one
2. Remote Job duration: 6 Months + extensions depending on Covid situation.
3. On-site location if candidate is comfortable: Carlsbad, CA
4. Optional: Can work from Wilmington DE and second- Chicago IL post COVID-19 Pandemic situation if comfortable

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE VISIBLE ON THE RESUME: AEM, Building a UI, JQuery, Angular, SASS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Design, develop, test, deploy, administrate, and maintain mission critical functionalities on ecommerce websites.
2. Responsible for initial design and development of new software and/or extensive software revisions.
3. Define technical requirements and create high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.
4. Represent the team in cross-organizational development forums as well as customer requirements gathering and software validation and training sessions.
5. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to understand complex problems and resolve them efficiently.
6. Use prior knowledge and experience to provide functional and technical support and leadership to colleagues.
7. Participate in training and orienting new software engineers as they join the team.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
1. 2+ years of experience building templates, components and clientlibraries in the Adobe Experience Manager version 6.4), Experience creating HTML markup with Adobe HTML Template Language (HTL) also known as slightly, Significant understanding of object-oriented design and programming. 5+ years of solid hands experience with Java; other languages (C++, Ruby, Python, etc. will be considered 5+ years of experience and strong Web 2.0 experience essential, including use of OO Javascript, Ajax, JS libraries (eg ExtJs/jQuery/DOJO/ etc) Bootstrap, HTML 5, CSS, JSON, strong understanding of browser compatibility issues.
2. Knowledge of user interface frameworks such AngularJS or React and JQuery. Kendo UI, REST AP. Experience using Agile software development methodologies. Prior exposure to scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Perl, Bash) on Windows or Linux.
3. Values simplicity in software architecture, design, and practices (TDD, DDD Experience, instincts, and enthusiasm around testing and testability. Experience with JavaScript Testing frameworks (mocha/jasmine, protractor/selenium, karma Experience working with geographically distributed team. Ability to effectively document artifacts and processes then explain them to others.
4. Knowledge of OOAD principles and methodologies (e.g. UML Web Service design experience: SOAP Request/Response handling, authentication, REST APIs. BS/MS in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or equivalently technical disciplines.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
1. Exposure to developing multi-tier, scalable, and browser based applications.
2. DEVOPS mindset and ability to leverage AWS is highly preferred.
3. Understanding of the Maven build framework and Jenkins build system
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
