Guidewire PolicyCenter Functional Lead

Location: Dearborn, MI

Duration: Full time. 

 

Required Skills 
 

• Minimum of 5 years of Domain Knowledge in P&C Lines preferably in Personal Lines to understand Business needs of the customer
• Eliciting Of requirements through meetings, Requirement workshops, document analysis etc.
• Good understanding & In project experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter
• Ability to analyze, understand In scope items, & classify functionalities which are to be added/modified/deleted into the Guidewire OOTB.
• Full understanding of policy Administration lifecycle from quote to bind & knowledge on subsequent Transaction Types.
• Act as a liaison between Business Partners and other Project Stakeholders
• Preparation of Functional/Non-Functional Requirement Specification document without any ambiguity.
• Facilitate Data Gap Sessions for End-to-End integration of Legacy, downstream and 3rd party applications.
• Interact with the Guidewire team to modify the Out of the Box logic based on business needs.
• Ability to lead the Functional gathering sessions & co-ordinate with several internal/external teams
• Ability to update & create Business Artifacts, Use Cases, Process Flow Diagrams, Screen Mock-ups etc
• Understanding of Business functionalities like Product, Rating, Underwriting, Forms, Claims, Integrations & Policy Conversions.
• Advise on key trade-offs between scope, schedule & program objectives.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum/Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in applying Change Management concepts on a software Implementation Project.
• Experience of running & managing backlog sessions, Release Feature & Sprint planning sessions.
• Ability to do the functional/UAT testing based on test scenarios & test cases.
• In-depth exposure to onsite-offshore model.
• Expertise in creating and developing classic Project Management Deliverables such as Project schedules, Project Status reports, resource plans, risks, issues and defect logs
• Good communication & interpersonal skills with proven abilities in Customer Relationship Management & Team Management.
