Job Description
The client is seeking an experienced graphic designer with a background in print and electronic media. client is looking for someone who can take direction from written and spoken ideas and convert them into images, layouts and other designs. The department launched a new logo and is working to implement the brand across all its business layers, while also publishing a magazine, hunting, and fishing regulations, and numerous brochures and other printed and digital products.
The ideal candidate must work well with internal customers, and be able to both take direction and develop new products. We work in a fast-paced environment and handle numerous jobs at once.
Responsibilities:
- Work simultaneously on multiple projects with set deadlines
- Create visual aspects of marketing materials, websites, and other media
- Create printed products including magazine layouts, brochures, and fliers
- Put together disparate elements of a design created by another professional, such as branding programs in line with standards created by the art director
- Work as part of a team with an art director, editors, copywriters, executives, etc.
- Perform related duties as required
Qualifications and skills:
- 5+ years’ experience working as a professional graphic designer with proven project management skills
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Extensive experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Adaptive design eye and skill
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and internal clients
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment
