Title: Engineer, Network (Senior) Duration: 1 Year + Location: Linthicum Heights, Maryland Job Description Responsible for the design and implementation of large data communications or telecommunications networks. Plans and monitors the installation of communications circuits. Manage and monitor local area networks and associated equipment (e.g., bridges, routers, modem pools, and gateways) Conducts short and long-term plan to meet c communications requirements. Responsible for the design and implementation of LANs/WANs using hub switching and router technology. Performs hardware/software analyses to provide comparative data of performance characteristics and suitability within the existing systems environment. Prepares tradeoff studies and evaluations for vendor equipment. Generates network monitoring/performance report, for LAN/WAN utilization studies. Recommends network design changes/enhancements for improved system availability and performance. The Network Support resource shall have at least ten years of current hands on experience as a Network Engineer, with a minimum of five years at the Senior level and combined experience as a senior support resource. The required experience shall be in the following technical areas: 1. Minimum Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Windows Server 2016 2. 10 years of experience with Active Directory 3. 10 years of experience with TCP/IP and DNS 4. 5 years of experience with Microsoft Exchange 5. 10 years of experience with Server Security 6. 10 years of experience with Backup and Recovery Methods 7. 10 years of experience with File and Print Services 8. 5 years' experience with Terminal Services 9. 10 years of experience with Switch Architecture 10. 10 years of experience with Rack-Mounting Network Equipment 11. 10 years of experience with Monitoring Server Performance; and 12. 10 years of experience with Cisco Security, routing and switching technologies
