Responsibilities
The Senior Data Warehouse Programmer Analyst participates in the design, development, implementation, review, and monitoring of all analytical database environments.
The Programmer Analyst works closely with the OLTP team , and the QA team to ensure best practices are followed.
The candidate will maintain and enhance the data warehousing environment and to take it through the future iterations.
In carrying out the key priorities of the role, they will contribute to
# Consolidate and optimize available data warehouse infrastructure
# Conceive analytics and business intelligence platform architecture for internal clients
# Collaboration with colleagues and advising senior management on opportunities to improve such as implementing new processes and emerging technologies
# Building capacity within and across the team through a strong focus and support of data engineering learning and development activities
# Database architecture and design of data warehouse subject areas and OLAP cubes
# Hands on SQL development and support of current ETL processes, sharing in responsibilities for monitoring the data warehouse loading process
# Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and outside sources as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked
# Design data architecture to ensure proper, efficient functioning of reporting, as well as reporting environments and dashboards
# Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders in ensuring data warehouse architecture development and utilization
# Carry out monitoring, tuning, and database performance analysis
# Perform the design and extension of data marts, meta data, and data models
# Ensure all data warehouse architecture codes are maintained in a version control system
# Design, development, and implementation of ETL jobs based on business requirements Specific Skills Knowledge
# Strong knowledge of data warehousing principles and concepts
# Strong coding experience using SQL, Power BI and SQL Server preferred.
# Development experience with BI and ETL ELT tools such as Power BI, SSIS, SSAS
# Ability to be client facing and be able to help internal customers determine their requirements and set.
