Title: Data Engineer
Location: Remote
Experience: 4+ Years
About the Role
A Fintech is seeking a strong and passionate data engineer with experience in large scale system implementation, with a focus on complex data pipelines. The candidate must be able to design and drive large projects from inception to production. The right person will work with PMs, Business stakeholders and scientists to gather requirements and translate them into a data engineering roadmap.
Skills required:
  • Strong SQL writing and tuning skills
  • Strong in Data Warehousing and Data Modelling concepts
  • Programming languages
  • Oracle PLSQL - Required
    • Python, Java, Scala Good to have
  • Experience in building scalable ETL Data Pipelines - Required
  • Hands on experience in Oracle EBS tech stack:
    • PLSQL, SQL - Required
  • Hands on experience in Hadoop tech stack:
    • HDFS, Hive - Required
    • Oozie, Airflow, MapReduce, Spark Good to have
  • Performance Troubleshooting and Tuning
  • Good communication skills as this role will require close collaboration with PM/engineers/stakeholders
  • Oracle EBS(Finance) technical background Good to have
  • Tableau tool experience Good to have

What candidate will be doing?
  • Design and build scalable data pipelines to schedule & orchestrate a variety of tasks such as extract, cleanse, transform, enrich & load data as per the business needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering/product/analyst teams across tech sites to collectively accomplish OKRs to take Uber forward.
  • Enrich data layers to effectively deal with the next generation of products which are a result of Uber's big bold bets.
