Position: Data Architect
Location: New York City, NY & Waltham, MA
Contract : 6+ months
Data Architect
This is in the Optimize Services Procurement department. Experience with procurement/payable exp. is highly preferred.
this is an integration role and they will be dealing with the end-end workflow in regards to invoices being entered into
the financial system.
Will be interacting with business stack holders
Working on API's, need to come up with solutions for that.
they use snap logic-which is an integration tool and DataStage (these are nice to have)
The databases they use are SQL and Oracle.
This is a hands-on role and is focused on Design and Architecture, solutions; no coding.
Duties:
As a Big Data Architect you will be involved in serving large global companies in building secure and scalable cloud architectures, designing mission-critical digital solutions on cloud including analytics and big data solutions, and play a key role in counseling clients and, knowledge and practice development. You will be a core member of the team with responsibilities that range from designing Big Data platform, having strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions. Our development teams are small, flexible and build highly scalable and secured solutions. We help clients construct Big Data solutions providing strategic direction, designing and driving architecture and implementation plans.
Skills:
Software Technology Client-Facing experience. Experience with Big Data migrations or IT transformation - (e.g. Data lake, different platform warehouses, etc.
Make assessments of the client data architecture, understanding their platforms and Data Warehouse.
Create a data lake on-premise in the client data center to centralize all the information from different platforms and
Data Warehouse.
Recommend the future data architecture.
Assess and recommend data governance - from data ingestion to data mart.
Experience with a startup or startup-like working environment.
Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort in speaking with senior executives at large companies.
