Job description:
BI(Business Objects) System Administrator:
1. Implementing and administrating of Business Objects with concentration on SAP Business Objects XI 3.1 and/or BO BI 4.x server platform versions;
2. Installing, configuring and maintaining of Business Objects suite of products, including but not limited to, BI Launch Pad, Central Management Console, Central Configuration Manager, Business View Manager, Query Builder, Instance Manager, Web Intelligence Rich Client, Universe Design Tool, Information Design Tool, Promotion Management, Import Wizard, Auditing, and Monitoring with technologies including SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, QlikView, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, EMC Greenplum, IBM DB2, SQL (Oracle, SQL 92), PL/SQL, Java, Python, C Sharp, C ++, REST Java API;
3. Resolving and modifying Business Objects software related issues on end user computers using SAP Business Objects XI 3.1 and/or BO BI 4.x server platform versions ;
4. Managing and reviewing assigned applications and servers for optimal operations and applying remediations or corrective actions including reviewing software code and system logs, modifying the code, conducting code modifications to alleviate bugs or defects, and improving code performance and/or code simplification to protect the integrity of systems being managed;
5. Managing Jira “story” or “epic” queue of defects and enhancements and carry out needed actions in a prioritized manner*
6. Performing software system design and maintenance and responding to approved Non-Production Requests (NPR); Production Change Management (CM) requests; Incident Management (IM) tickets; Enterprise Information Security (EIS) requests; and Identity Access Management (IAA) requests for support, certification and documentation using technologies including SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, QlikView, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, EMC Greenplum, IBM DB2, SQL (Oracle, SQL 92), PL/SQL, Java, Python, C Sharp, C ++, REST Java API;
7. Analyzing information to determine computer specifications and responding to Internal Audit of the Americas (IAA) requests; Patch Management (PM) requests; Network Operations Center (NOC) incident management referrals; end-user requests; and upper management directives including working with other subject matter experts such as Business Intelligence Analysts/Developers, Database Administrators, Network Engineers, Quality and Performance Engineering specialists and technology vendor representatives;
8. Performing project-related implementation tasks appropriate for administrators such as Business Intelligence Analysts/Developers, Database Administrators, Network Engineers, Quality and Performance Engineering specialists and technology vendor representatives;
9. Preparing and presenting data security recommendations for BI projects;
10. Planning and developing applications and middleware patches, capacity upgrades and security updates using technologies including SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, QlikView, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, EMC Greenplum, IBM DB2, SQL (Oracle, SQL 92), PL/SQL, Java, Python, C Sharp, C ++, REST Java API
