 Background, Experience, and Skills:  

  • 3-5 years of experience working as a business architect or related role at the enterprise level  
  • Bachelor’s in information science or field related to Business Architecture or equivalent work experience 
  • Affiliations with Business Architecture Guild, or similar business architecture associations 
  • Business acumen and ability to create strong business relationships with partners from the business side 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills  
  • Ability to explain abstract concepts, models, and approaches to staff who may be less comfortable with abstraction  
  • Must understand and be competent at performing business capability modeling 
    • Identifying and eliminating context-specific references or naming  
    • Recognizing and removing functional overlaps between business capability definitions  
    • Describing business capabilities in rigorous, unambiguous, and understandable language  
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, make independent decisions, and work well in teams 
  • Be a quick thinker, quick learner 
  • Must be flexible, quickly adapt to terminology and understand the underlying concepts 
  • Able and willing to adapt to different modeling approaches  
  • Previous experience with the TM Forums Framework a plus, as well as knowledge/experience with TOGAF, ArchiMate, or other enterprise architecture frameworks and modeling specifications 

 Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Review, Refine, Extend the Business Capability Reference Model (BCRM) 
  • Work closely with the business and the team to understand and standardize the high-level processes of the new Process Reference Model (PRM) 
  • Map the PRM to the BCRM  
  • Support the alignment of the BCRM to TM Forum's Framework  
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to map the BCRM to the enterprise roadmaps 
  • Assess the enterprise service catalog and support the alignment with the BCRM and microservice strategy 
  • Produce artifacts of Business Architecture supporting strategic, planning, and architecture activities  
  • Create presentations for management and business 

1) Works with client organizations to gather user requirements and formulate project definition, including developing project work plan, developing alternative solutions to business/system proposals and developing feasibility studies.  

2) Conducts ongoing needs assessment, business analysis and interaction and collaboration with clients in defining new services and identifying their flow in the existing environment.  

3) Responsible for integration of IT solutions into business process designs and may work on the development of test cases that match user requirements.  

4) May also include developing and participating in the design and implementation of streamlined business process solutions.
