Role-Big Data Engineer
Location-Plano TX
Duration-6 months
Interviews: Local highly preferred for in person interview - but two interviews will be required – a screen (phone is ok) followed by a panel interview (in person highly preferred, WebEx for non-locals)
Glider is a must – no exceptions - BigData/Machine Learning assessment – will consider solid verifiable experience in lieu of average glider score –The interview will be the decider – not the glider score
Strictly looking for 3-6 yrs of experience – solid verifiable 5 yrs of exp would be the sweet spot no juniors – no managers or senior lead level guys because they won’t be hired as managers when they convert
– they will be eventually hired at Senior Associate or Principal Associate level
– looking for independent performers who need no or very little guidance – hands-on folks
The job
Entails looking for anomalies in Data – this group supports preventive controls and related cyberrisk initiatives. Prior experience in Data Analysis space and in bigdata environments will be desirable (read required)
Candidates need to be from either stream – Python-PySpark expertise OR Java-SpringBoot -Scala/Spark expertise – Big Data platforms experience
AWS is common denominator – will consider other cloud experience if the basic skills are in place – i.e. Azure or GCP or IBM is ok
