DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
We are seeking a senior-level, highly skilled Cloud Architect to manage our organization cloud architecture and position in cloud environments. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in maintaining all cloud systems including the front-end platforms, servers, storage, and management networks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and transferring applications to the cloud. The successful candidate will have a passion for innovation and excellent communication skills to effectively share knowledge and mentor agency staff.
 Responsibilities will include:
•       Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process
•       Evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software
•       Develop and organize cloud systems
•       Work closely with IT security to monitor cloud privacy
•       Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner 
•       Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud 
•       Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the agency
 
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Years    Required/Preferred    Experience
8    Required    Experience architecting cloud environments including AWS and Azure
8    Required    Experience documenting designs and converting High Level Architecture (HLA) Design into Low Level Design (LLD) documents
8    Required    Experience with Visio
8    Required    Experience with cloud native toolsets (AWS CloudWatch)
8    Required    Experience with AWS VPC architecture and security (subnets and security groups)
8    Required    Experience in consolidated datacenter/cloud architecture, and exceptional knowledge of current computing trends
8    Required    Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
8    Required    Positive attitude and commitment to delivering quality work
3    Preferred    Demonstrate expertise with multiple full life cycle analytics or system integration engagements across strategy, design, implementation
3    Preferred    Knowledge of Agile project delivery methods, tools, concepts
1    Preferred    Experience with cloud in public or government setting
