Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Automation Engineer to design, develop, and scale next-generation test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will leverage modern tools like Playwright and Selenium, along with Generative AI, to drive innovation in test automation, enhance test coverage, and accelerate software delivery. This role requires strong technical leadership and a passion for integrating AI into quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright (primary) and Selenium.
- Integrate Generative AI tools to automate test case generation, script maintenance, and defect analysis.
- Develop and implement AI-augmented testing strategies, including self-healing tests and intelligent test orchestration.
- Lead the adoption of automation best practices across development and QA teams.
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality automation scripts.
- Research and prototype emerging tools and technologies to continuously improve testing efficiency.
- Define and track quality metrics (e.g., test coverage, flakiness, automation ROI) to demonstrate framework effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in test automation, with expertise in Playwright and/or Selenium.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI applications in testing (e.g., test case generation, code analysis, AI-assisted scripting).
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
- Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch.
- Proficiency with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with API testing, performance testing, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
