Job Summary - Under direct supervision provide technical support to application development staff and Management while interacting with existing network and database personnel in support of the ITS application. Supports configuration of all as
pects of the ITS application.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in network/system administration, relational database management, computer science or management information systems
Provide technical representation on a project team from definition to delivery
Setup, configure and maintain n-tier environments including application servers, web servers, web services, database servers
Assess and recommend hardware specifications and procurement
Demonstrable working experience in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Working understanding of Storage Area Networks
Working understanding of web services, web site development with HTML, AJAX and Jscript
Source code optimization and application troubleshooting
Security specification and reviews
Strong analytical skills
Ability to interface equally well with various levels of technical personnel, subject matter experts, senior level stakeholders, developers, and project managers
On-call support
US Citizenship or Green Card status is required
Preferred Qualifications:
SQL Server or Oracle RDMS administration, including high availability design and installations, performance analysis and tuning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery
Strong technical development background in at least one relevant technology, along with commercial and technical experience developed in a fast-moving web environment
Experience building high-performance, reliable, large-scale database systems in a complex, multi-tiered, distributed environment
Knowledge and experience working with software development organizations
Disaster recovery planning and implementation
Experience in Microsoft VB.NET
