Job Title: AEM Front End Developer
Location: Detroit, MI
3 months with possible extension


RESPONSIBILITIES:



Engagement Description:

As the AEM Front-end developer, you’ll be a vital part of translating the BCBSM brand into useful and engaging digital experiences for a variety of audiences, including consumers, members, agents, providers and your colleagues.
You’ll work on a cross-disciplinary team with User Experience, Content Strategy and Design in a collaborative environment using Agile methodologies.

You’ll create solutions that inform and delight audiences and achieve the goals of the business.
You’ll build reusable components and templates that are an integral part of our design patterns, shaping the experience of our users while building efficiencies for our team.
You’ll help define the best practices for front-end development.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Help craft our development guidelines and best practices
Be a great team player, with the ability to collaborate closely and positively with product owners, developers, copywriters and UX designers
Continually keep yourself and your fellow developers updated with the latest changes in interactive developer; standards and methods



QUALIFICATIONS:



Top 3 Required Skills/Experience:

Build responsive websites and applications in Adobe AEM 6.5
Demonstrated experience in HTL, SASS, LESS, CSS, HTML5 and JavaScript (Angular, JQuery, Bootstrap, etc), JSON, XML
Experience consuming web services (RESTful) using Java APIs and tools, such as SpringBoot



Required Skills/Experience – The rest of the required skills/experience. Include:

Experience with both relational databases (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases
We’re a human-centered design shop, so familiarity with customer and user experience best practices will help you craft appropriate solutions and better communicate with the team
Some design experience is a plus, even better if you have a portfolio to share
We work in an Agile environment, so experience working on Agile teams will help you hit the ground running
The more you understand about our industry, the more effective your designs will be for users of our products, so experience working in healthcare or a related field is helpful



Education/Certifications – Include:

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
7+ years of experience in developing enterprise web applications
