Job Description:
Job Responsibilities
Level 2 production support engineer for ETL batch jobs within a data warehouse application environment
Troubleshoot and analyze existing Ab-initio code to resolve production incidents
Troubleshoot and analyze complex production problems related to source data, source files, infrastructure, etc.
Develop and update application documentation, technical procedures, and user guides
Strictly follow enterprise change, incident, and problem management processes
Job role expectations
Be willing to work on a rotational shift basis on a 24x7 schedule
Be willing to work non-standard hours
Technical requirements
8+ years of information technology experience
5+ years of working in a UNIX/Linux based environment
5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming or production support experience
3+ years of experience with ETL Tools (specifically Ab Initio)
3+ years of experience with RDBMS (specifically Teradata & Oracle)
3+ years of job scheduling experience (preferably AUTOSYS)
3+ years of Unix Bash shell scripting experience
3+ years of experience working in a big data environment (Hadoop Hortonworks or MapR, Hive, Aster)
Additional experience in Big Data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Sqoop, NiFi, is preferred, but not required.
