Position: Drupal Architect
Location: Evanston, IL
Interview: Phone & Skype
Duration: 6+ months with possibility of extension (s)

Position Summary
Prior experience building, leading and architecting Drupal applications.
Ability to guide technical discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to negotiate mutually agreeable outcomes with clients, partners and stakeholders.
Ability to perform complex Drupal development tasks including custom module development using the Drupal API system and hooks from major Drupal core systems.

Experience defining and scope a technical solution for large-scale Drupal projects.
Experience working in a consulting or agency environment with direct interaction with enterprise level clients .
Excellent ability to partner with both internal and external stakeholders
Strong leadership and presentation skills to provide coaching and mentoring to team and colleagues.

Willingness and ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the business and to solve problems effectively by gathering insight from Employees to ensure that they have all of the information they need for accurate analysis and consideration, involving them and supporting them in the right balance.
Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems systematically rather than solely by intuition or instincts and determination to look for root causes, not just symptoms of the problem.

5-7 years’ experience with Drupal and open-source web development including: HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, PHP, and client-side MVC patterns.
Deep knowledge of JavaScript and familiarity with one or more JavaScript libraries and framework such as JQuery, Node.js, React.js, Vue.js, etc.
Experience with git version control system.

Detailed understanding of cross browser support issues, solid understanding of cross browser rendering and performance issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to multi-task and thrive in rapidly changing environment.

Strong organizational skills, Agile project management experience, and attention to detail.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or in a related discipline.
