Job Description :

Sybase/Pentaho Consultant

Location: McLean, VA
Duration: 6 months+

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall system design
- Documents development requirements for database, applications, and operation system environment
- Consults with end users to test and debug applications to meet client needs
- Serves as expertise in all aspects of designing and application development
- May conduct training to IT Staff
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks
- May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department

Skills:
- At least 5-6 years of software development experience
- Ideally, someone who has majorly worked in the backend (but frontend experience a plus), has extensive knowledge of databases (preferably Sybase), has done data mapping, data conversion and data extraction – preferably with ETL tools like Pentaho
- Any experience with AWS, Chef and Docker a definite plus
