Title : Senior Data Warehouse Engineer
Duration : 6+ months

Description:
Is seeking a technical leader with experience in data warehousing and reporting.
The role will be in support of the Underwriting Strategy and Performance business group.
Developer should be able to lead technical design and implementation of a new reporting stack to replace legacy server/technology.
Individual should be self-driven, limited mentoring will be provided.
Experience with provisioning databases, reporting environments, and data migration is critical to the role.
Target state will likely be provisioned in AWS.
Excellent soft skills are required for this role.
Individual will be expected to collaborate with the business team to inventory current reports, determine what subset will be required in the new environment, and effectively collaborate to flush out requirements.
This role would be filled for the remainder of 2019 and we will evaluate extension for 2020.
Specific Responsibilities Include :
Migrate reporting environment off of end-dated servers to a target technology.
Lead technical design of go-forward architecture.
Inventory current reports and convert only those that are go-forward.
Convert all Congo’s reporting (and other technologies) to Power BI.

Ability to manage data migration and integration between internal SQL Servers and other systems
Microsoft SQL Server 2016
TSQL/SSRS/SSIS/SSAS
Experience with provisioning SQL Server in AWS
Microsoft Power BI
Ability to convert Congo’s Reporting to Power BI
5 years of hands on experience with relational database concepts (normalization, performance tuning, profiling) and programming (stored procedures, functions, CTE
