Our client, one of the largest distributors of natural gas in the northeast US, serving customers in NY, MA, and RI seeks an accomplished Project Manager / Scrum Master.

Description:
Manage software development and systems projects from initiation through completion, and promote project management and agile best practices company-wide.
This role is an integral part of a major initiative to enable Business by improving how our employees serve our customers today and by creating the platform for tomorrow’s growth.
Coordinate with sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams to define and document project goals, scope, requirements, and outcomes.
Based on feedback from Product Managers and the Development teams, help to balance the Tech projects portfolio, maintain updated project priorities, and allocate design and development resources across projects.
Provide status updates (both verbally and in writing) to project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership. Guide and coach project teams in adopting Agile / Scrum best practices and values.
Assist in the organizational transition from Waterfall to Agile. Prepare and archive project management documentation. Facilitates Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
Keeps Scrum team focused on current sprint. Identifies and removes impediments. Works with team to escalate resources and other issues that must be escalated at the release level.
Removes obstacles for Scrum team. Ensures the preparation for the demo is completed, including documentation. Ensures documentation, test, planning and other tasks are considered along with core development.
Continually work with the team to find and implement improvements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree. Scrum Master Certified (CSM
4+ years of experience managing technology projects; of which at least 2 years should be managing projects using Agile / Scrum methodologies.
Basic understanding of business and technology concepts and terminology.
Excellent communication skills, organization, and attention to detail.
Experience using JIRA and Confluence, or other Agile tools.
Experienced at SAFe and Agile technical project management of multiple software releases.
Experienced at Scrum of Scrums method.
Preferred Skills: CSPO, PMP.
Working knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework a plus.
