Job Description :
Location: Bentonville, AR
Duration: 6 month Project – possible extensions
Shift: 3rd shift

The Linux Technical Support / Help Desk Project team members are responsible for LINUX and AIX Operating System (OS) conversions, OS encryptions, data migrations, and back-out and restore functions in the event of a catastrophic failure.

Requirements for the Linux Technical Support are:
Strong skills with AIX 52/53/61 and SUSE Linux
SLES 10/11 Operating System in large enterprise environment
Good understanding of XEN virtualization, Pacemaker and DRBD on SUSE Linux in large enterprise environment
Knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 Operating System
Knowledge of Vormetric Encryption on AIX and SUSE Linux Operating System
Strong skills with Incident and Change management using Service Now
Strong skills with Shell Scripting (Korn, Bash, Perl)
Strong Leadership skills

Preferred Skills:
General knowledge across multiple software/hardware platforms
Ability to troubleshoot and take corrective actions based on documented process and procedures.
Understanding of Change Control and Escalation processes
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Troubleshooting and Analytical Skills
Teaming skills
Basic to Intermediate HW Skills to include:
o Intel Based servers (IMMs/ILOs )
o How to check different HW components on Intel Based servers
Basic to Intermediate SW Skills to include:
o TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager )
o Suse and Windows patching levels
Basic to Intermediate Networking Skills to include:
o Switches (BNT, SCM, SAS, Cisco)
o TCP/IP
o VLAN/bonding (configuration and troubleshooting)
Nice to have but not required would be:
o AIX/SLES/Storage/TSM Certifications
o Informix 9/10/11 administration
o Experience with Retail Industry Infrastructure
